Our Director Lynne Peirce became the River Raisin Chorus's director Jan. 1, 2024.
A Sweet Adeline since 1985 and front line director since 1999, Lynne brings an array of experience and an abundance of enthusiasm to her role. Lynne is a certified musical director in both the Sweet Adelines (2005) and men’s Barbershop Harmony Society (2002). She most recently served as director of the Battle Creek Chorus and previously as director of Voices in Harmony, Ypsilanti. A popular chorus and quartet coach, she sang bass in the 1991 and 1993 Region 2 quartet champion “Accolade” and the 2015 Region 17 quartet champion “Surefire” and currently sings bass in ‘Sparx”. Lynne may be best known for nearly 20 years of antics as bass of comedy quartet “Novelty Shop”. In addition to her chorus service, Lynne has served Sweet Adeline Regions 2 and 17 in many different musical and administrative leadership roles, currently in the position of Education Coordinator of Region 17. Lynne lives in Ann Arbor with her corgi, Lily. She retired in 2012 after 43 years at the University of Michigan Health System in the field of organizational development. |
